March 14th the journey begins, as Adam sets out from Ushuaia, Argentina to break the Pan America highway world record. Over the course of 100 days Adam and crew will make their way from the bottom of one hemisphere to the top of another, finishing in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. Traveling over 2 continents, 14 countries and 14,000 miles, Adam and crew will face harsh weather and road conditions
Why attempt such a challenging journey?
The sole purpose at attempting this journey is to raise awareness and money towards Autism. As this disorder grows, it affects millions of families worldwide, primarily diagnosed in children. Affecting social skills and how the world is perceived by an individual with autism, this makes it very difficult to go about day to day activities and having relationships with others. Here are some staggering facts about Autism:
"I am inspired by Adam's commitment to building awareness about autism throughout North and South America. His journey over the past two years prepared him well for his quest to break the world record. Pathfinders for Autism is honored to be a partner in this extraordinary journey to raise both awareness about the complexity of Autism and funds to support local efforts to assist individuals and families."
